The Stations of the Cross (A Fairytale) and Parallel Experiments
In 2022 I devoted much of my attention to a major series titled The Stations of the Cross (A Fairytale), consisting of fourteen 48 x 48-inch paintings. The development of this series became the central focus of my studio practice during that period.
At the same time, I continued producing additional works that allowed for a more intuitive and spontaneous approach. These paintings functioned as a counterbalance to the larger series, providing space for experimentation with imagery, color, and composition.
While less conceptually structured, they remained an important part of the studio process, helping sustain momentum and often generating ideas that would carry forward into later paintings.
