Scuplture

My figurative sculpture investigates the body as a vessel for psychological presence. While my paintings situate figures within constructed environments, the sculptures isolate the body, allowing it to function as a concentrated embodiment of that inquiry.

Working in resin, plaster and wood, I create figures ranging from intimate scale to life-size. Surfaces remain tactile and direct, preserving the immediacy of the hand and emphasizing the body as something vulnerable and continually in formation. Color operates symbolically rather than descriptively, reinforcing internal states rather than natural appearances.

Elevated on simple architectural bases or free standing, the figures occupy a quiet stage where the body becomes both form and psychological sign.
